Joy,

Kindergarten Program

Mary Joy Paniza is originally from the Philippines, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Physics. She was a licensed professional teacher in her home country and is now a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) here in Canada.

Before moving to Canada, Mary Joy had the opportunity to teach for six years. She taught Mathematics to Grade 7 students and Science to learners in Grades 7–12.

After coming to Canada, she continued her journey in education by completing her Early Childhood Education diploma at Seneca Polytechnic, graduating with High Honours. Becoming an RECE has allowed her to continue doing what she truly loves—working with children and supporting their curiosity, enthusiasm, and love for learning. Mary Joy is now part of Momentum Montessori’s Kindergarten program.

Mary Joy believes that children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and learn at their own pace. She strives to create fun and meaningful experiences where children feel safe, valued, and confident to be themselves.

She is very grateful to be part of each child’s journey and looks forward to learning, creating wonderful memories, and supporting each child as they grow, thrive, and become confident and independent individuals.
