The Momentum Montessori Kindergarten Program is designed to meet the needs of children from 4 years to 6 years of age.
With a focus on developing further comprehension and mastery of primary, this program offers Mathematics, Reading, and Writing in the English language while building student empathy, patience, self-confidence and self-worth. Surpassing the Ontario Kindergarten curriculum expectations held by the Ministry of Education by combining the Dr. Maria Montessori Method and the Reggio Emilia approach, our goal is for our students to surpass social and academic milestones for children of this age group. This is done by regulating small class sizes, additional classroom support systems, incredible class excursions for curriculum related adventures throughout the city of Toronto, celebrating multiculturalism in our daily programming, building community relationships with local experts, and much more. For families who are looking for additional care after 3:00pm, we will be looking for after-school programs such as Robots, Martial Arts, Sports Ball, Soccer, Swimming, Dance, and Skating.
Healthy active living is a cornerstone for Momentum Montessori and we offer up daily physical education opportunities of moderate to vigorous activity in a fun-filled environment while promoting proper hygiene. Our school believes in making the healthy choice, the easy choice and that is why we offer a catered food program by Real Food for Real Kids which is entirely based on organic, non-genetically modified, or artificially flavoured food. A healthy start is a smart start.
The incorporation of technology in education has been shown to provide even higher levels of comprehension with learner development and cognitive growth, which is why Momentum Montessori uses SMART technology in its curriculum. Using SMART board technology and student tablets helps provide a fun and interactive learning stream while developing student confidence with technology.
An introduction to the Arts is vital for a developing mind. At Momentum Montessori we teach our students a variety of performing arts skills including singing, public speaking, movement to music, and instrumental music. Our students will gain experience with playing the piano, percussion, and string instruments. Momentum Montessori encourages our students to have as much fun as possible playing music and grow a deep-seated appreciation for the Arts.
For families looking to enroll their child into a French Immersion Elementary School and wish to give their child a head start, Momentum Montessori is the Smart Start; Our French Program is amazing and has proven results.
The Kindergarten Program operates from 9:15am-3:00pm.
Momentum Montessori always strives to exceed The Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) minimum staffing requirements. The student to teacher ratio is 13:1, with at least one Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or staff otherwise approved by the Ministry of Education. The maximum class size is 26.
Momentum Montessori fees are reviewed annually and the major source of funding for the centre. Our fee is calculated based on the program and how many days a week your child attends Momentum. For the exact tuition fees and a campus tour, please contact us.
