Katie joined the Momentum Montessori team in 2018 and is currently the Lead ECE of our Junior Preschool Program. Originally from England, she holds a degree in Early Years and Educational Development. From a young age, Katie loved caring for and encouraging children and enjoyed volunteering in out-of-school clubs and projects. These experiences broadened her knowledge and confirmed her commitment to providing young children with the very best early years experience.
After graduation, Katie moved to Italy, where she was an au pair to two young children and also worked as an English tutor and teacher in a local school. She later moved to Toronto and found her home with Momentum Montessori, where she has loved being Miss Katie in both the Toddler and Preschool rooms.
Katie takes pride in creating a fun and loving environment where children feel confident to explore, safe and respected. She believes in the importance of developing meaningful bonds with every child in her care.
She respects each child’s unique personality and interests and works to create thoughtful, individualized daily activities and programs with warmth and care.
